Smile. You are alive.

The power of a smile!!!!

One of the things I was telling the Honor Academy Interns about in class the other day is that…

The importance of a sincere smile in the life of a Christian cannot be underestimated. There is an undeniable difference between a fake smile and a smile that emanates from the heart. We must hold tightly to the multitude of reasons we have as forgiven, free, loved children of God to smile!

See if you can tell the difference?

Proverbs 15:13
A happy heart makes the face cheerful, but heartache crushes the spirit.

Proverbs 27:19
As water reflects the face, so one’s life reflects the heart.

I believe that one of the more profound things we can do in life is to take good care of our hearts, so we can take good care of our smiles, so we can brighten the world!!

Think of some of the reasons you have today to have joy! breath.life.eyesight.health.hope.intellect.the holy spirit.freedom.peace.forgiveness.jesus.love.friends.family.mountains.trees.snow.water.beaches.laughter.music.art.animals..so.so.so.so.so.so.so.so.so.so.so.so.so much more.

What has got you smiling today? See if you can echo or add to my list?

“I say these things while I am still in the world, so that they may have the full measure of my joy within them” – Jesus the Christ – Recorded by the Apostle John 7:13

Jesus is the happiest person I know.

Perfect peace belongs to him. Eternal satisfaction is His as well. He wants us to have the joy that He has.

Lord. We receive it!

in life…

In life there is such.

A staggering coalescence of contrarieties…

Goodness that is matchless. And severity that is sobering.
Forgiveness and Judgment.
Redemption and Consequences.
Mercy and Justice.
Pain and Joy.
Grief and Rejoicing
Opportunities Seized and Opportunities Lost.
Reconciliation and Estrangement.
A Time To Fight and A Time To Let It Go.
Second Chances and Too Late.
Thankfulness and Tribulation.
Loyalty and Betrayal.
Love and Hate.

And such brevity…

God Grant me the serenity to accept the things I cannot change, the courage to change the things I can, and the wisdom to know the difference.

I have a few years left to store up treasure in heaven and Let God be great in my life.

Lord, to the years that are left of me, I give them to thy hand. Take me. And Mold Me. And Make Me for the pattern that Thou has Planned.

I believe…

read slowly with some background tunes…

I believe in destiny….
I believe in the dreams of God manifested in the lives of men…
I believe in the beauty of life…
In love…
In longings fulfilled…
In shaking nations…
In changing eternal fate…
In miracles…
In the voice of God…
In divine intervention…
in romance…
in the protection of angels…
In a bright future for all of God’s people…
In the impossible…
prayers answered…
In God.
In the resurrection.
In Jesus the messiah.
In the Second coming of Christ
and the eternal glory of all of His beloved.
In eternal pleasures at God’s right hand…
In courage, bravery, valor, and dying for noble causes.
In speaking for those who cannot speak for themselves.
In honesty. painful though it may be.
In doing the right thing even when it hurts.
In forgiveness.
In freedom.
In friendship that is deep.
In sacrifice.
In sticking together.
In taking risks.
In jumping off immaterial cliffs
and swimming in metaphysical oceans
In exploring uncharted waters.
In making history.
In cherishing memories.
In loving deeply.
